Corrections Center Overview

The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, commonly called CCNO, is the primary adult detention facility serving Williams County. It is not a Williams County-only jail in Bryan. CCNO is a regional full-service adult jail in Stryker, operated by the Corrections Commission of Northwest Ohio for Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Williams counties. CCNO's home page says the commission was formed in 1987 to oversee construction and operation of the regional jail. Operating costs are shared by member jurisdictions and contract users through bed allocations. Williams County's allocation is listed as 55 beds, while other allocations include Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, U.S. Marshals, and Findlay. The facility is ACA accredited, certified by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Bureau of Adult Detention on Ohio jail standards, and PREA accredited.

Who CCNO Holds

CCNO holds adult pretrial detainees and local sentenced inmates for Williams County and the other member counties. It can also hold people awaiting transfer to Ohio prison after common pleas sentencing, federal or U.S. Marshals prisoners, Findlay Municipal Court allocation prisoners, and ICE detainees under the 2025 federal contract described in the research. That mixed population changes how a person should be searched. Corrections Center Capacity

CCNO publishes unusually specific population statistics. The 2025 facility statistics page reports 576 funded beds and an average population of 560, or 97.2 percent of funded capacity. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's 2025 inspection report lists 688 actual general housing capacity. Both figures are useful, but they measure different things. Funded beds reflect the operating and allocation number; actual general housing capacity is the state inspection capacity number.

The statistics are all-CCNO numbers, not Williams County-only counts. Williams County's own CCNO average daily population was listed separately in the population statistics as 46 for 2025 and 45 for 2024.

CCNO's business and public-records hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Inmate booking is an operational function, and the jail does not publish a separate booking desk schedule in the research. Corrections Center Visits

CCNO visitation is non-contact video visitation. Family and friends schedule visits in the lobby on a video monitor or online through GettingOut/ViaPath. Visitors must enter full legal names when scheduling. Adult visitors need valid picture ID with date of birth, can be subject to warrant checks, and may be screened by metal detector or search. Minors 17 or younger must be with a legal or custodial parent or guardian, and children cannot be left unattended in the lobby or parking lot.

Most inmates receive one lobby video visit per week. Facility workers, Public Works, Work Release, and HITT inmates may receive two weekly lobby video visits.

Corrections Center Mail Money

Regular family and friend mail is sent to a scanning address: Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, OH; inmate name and inmate number; P.O. Box 247; Phoenix, MD 21131. Non-privileged mail is scanned into tablets, and physical mail is not given to inmates except legal mail. Packages use the Stryker address with the inmate's full legal name and booking number, but most packages are restricted. Court clothing may be allowed when requested by the sentencing court, and medication is routed to medical staff for review.

The money rules are strict enough to matter before sending funds. CCNO does not accept inmate money through the mail or reception desk.

Corrections Center Booking

CCNO receives Williams County adult arrestees through its booking department. Booking includes property inventory, money receipt, identifying questions, an identification wristband, a body scanner, medical and suicide screening, photographs, fingerprints, and an inmate handbook. Inmates are required to participate in booking, health screening, and mental-health screening. They shower, have clothing placed in a property bag, receive a CCNO uniform, and are issued bedding, linen, and a hygiene packet.

During booking, the person is allowed at least two collect phone calls, though calls may be delayed for a reasonable time if the person is violent or intoxicated. Newly arrested inmates appear before a judge on the next regular scheduled court day, usually by video arraignment. Arraignment reviews bond, addresses appointed counsel when needed, and sets the next court date. Later housing is affected by classification, which considers institutional behavior, criminal background, medical and mental-health needs, separation concerns, and program eligibility.

Corrections Center Programs

CCNO publishes education, programming, medical, and accreditation details. Program goals include helping inmates accept responsibility, use time in custody constructively, build a strategy for change, and connect with community referrals after release. Education is a strong local feature. Through PENTA Career Center, CCNO offers GED and Tooling U programming, uses online, in-person, and self-study options, and is a state-certified GED testing site.

Medical care is provided by VitalCore, with medical staff on duty 24 hours a day. CCNO states no inmate is denied medical care or medication due to inability to pay. Inmates may owe co-pays for requested care, while initial booking screening, life-threatening emergencies, staff-ordered follow-ups, in-house mental-health services, and drug or alcohol programs are listed as no charge. CCNO is also ACA accredited, ODRC jail-standards certified, and PREA accredited.

Corrections Center Transfers

Williams County defendants sentenced to state prison do not stay in CCNO as state prisoners. CCNO's prison-transfer information says most male inmates sentenced to prison from Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Williams common pleas courts are transported to the Correctional Reception Center in Orient. Female inmates are transported to the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. After transfer, the ODRC Offender Search is the right system for prison custody and supervision records.

Federal and immigration custody require separate checks. Federal pretrial or USMS prisoners may appear on the CCNO active-offender PDF if physically housed in Stryker.
